You told us you wanted a lighter tarp, and we built it. This 2-piece set gives your load the same protection you count on from a Verduyn tarp, with far less weight to lift, throw, and haul, so it's easier on you at the trailer and leaves you more room for payload.

Like our heavy-duty set, it covers high-profile loads such as lumber, hay, pallets, and other bulky freight, and it tarps the whole load with just two tarps, no sorting out which one has the flap. Both tarps are 24′ wide by 27′ long with a 1′ fender, and used as a set they cover loads up to 53′ long.

The weight savings come from the material. The centre and flap use the same waterproof 18oz vinyl as our heavy-duty tarps, with UV, rot, and oil resistance and a cold crack rating of -40 that holds up through a Canadian winter. To cut weight, the sides are made from water-resistant tear-stop ballistic nylon with a high strength-to-weight ratio, dropping roughly 54 pounds off the set.

It's built to stay tied down and last. The webbing and rope reinforced borders carry #4 brass grommets approximately every 24″, and box-stitched stainless steel D-rings sit about every 24″ as well, giving you plenty of tie-down points for full coverage. Each tarp has four rows of D-rings along the 27′ length at 2′, 4′, 6′, and 8′ from the border, plus an 8′ x 9′ flap with its own four rows and 1′ fenders that fold under the flap for maximum protection. Every D-ring has a vinyl wear patch underneath to guard against scuffing and tears from strap connection points.

This tarp set is a lighter alternative to our 2-piece heavy-duty lumber tarp set.
