Our customers told us they needed a lighter tarp solution, and we listened. This three-piece lumber tarp set consists of two end tarps measuring 24 feet by 18 feet with a flap, and one middle tarp measuring 24 feet by 21 feet — a lighter alternative to our three-piece heavy-duty lumber tarp set, while still providing your load with the great level of protection you expect from a Verduyn tarp. Designed to cover high-profile loads such as lumber, hay, pallets, and other bulky materials, many flatbedders who haul LTL freight prefer this configuration for its versatility, distributing weight across three tarps and making each one lighter and easier to handle.

The centre and flap are made from waterproof 18oz. vinyl-coated PVC material, providing UV, rot, and oil resistance. To reduce weight, the sides are made from lightweight rip-stop ballistic nylon with a high strength-to-weight ratio. The total set weight is 122 pounds — approximately 91 pounds lighter than our heavy-duty set.

The end tarps are 24′ wide by 18′ long with 4 rows of D-rings at 2′, 4′, 6′, and 8′ from the tarp border, an 8′x8′ flap with 4 rows of D-rings, and added 1′ fenders to fold under the flap for maximum protection. The middle tarp is 24′ wide by 21′ long with 4 rows of D-rings along the length and 2 additional rows across the 24′ width at 2′ and 4′ from the border.

The webbing and rope-reinforced border includes #4 brass grommets approximately every 24 inches. Stainless steel D-rings are spaced approximately 24 inches apart, and each box-stitched D-ring has a vinyl wear patch underneath to prevent scuffing and tears from rubber strap connection points.
