What working load limits do Verduyn winch straps offer?
We stock winch straps with working load limits (WLL) from 3,335 lb up to 6,000 lb, ensuring you can match strap strength to your heaviest loads.

How do I choose the right width, length and end fitting?
Choose the strap width based on the size of the cargo and how the strap will be handled, not just the weight of the load. Use 3-inch straps for narrower loads or where you need more flexibility and longer webbing. Use 4-inch straps when you want more surface contact on the load or a bigger grip for easier tensioning.

Always confirm the strap’s working load limit (WLL) for the application.

Pick a length that lets you wrap securely around the load with enough tail to operate the winch. For end fittings, choose chain ends for chained anchor points and maximum durability, or flat/delta hooks for low-profile, quick-hook applications.

Are your winch straps compliant with transport regulations?
Yes. Every Verduyn Tarps' winch strap meets or exceeds Transport Canada and US DOT requirements for cargo securement and safety.

What maintenance is required to extend strap life?
Inspect straps before each use for fraying or damage, clean off dirt and chemicals, and store in a dry, shaded area, and if possible, reduce exposure to the elements. Replace any strap showing wear that compromises webbing or fittings.

You can also extend the life of your straps by using our Corner Protectors so that sharp edges from your cargo don't begin compromising the integrity of your strap.

What other products do you have to help me with my strapping?
You can check out our Strap Accessories where we have various types of winders to make your life easier and our Corner Protectors, which are crtical for keeping your straps in good shape.
