Owen McGivern
Owen has been a Digital Content Specialist at Verduyn Tarps since 2023, where he has gained hands-on experience creating content and marketing materials for the company. From designing print and digital materials to creating social media and YouTube content, Owen helps showcase Verduyn’s products and the people behind them.
Working at Verduyn has also given Owen the opportunity to interact directly with drivers from time to time. Whether it’s getting the chance to talk with a driver picking up their new Eagle Tarp System as he is getting content with these systems. Or hearing about their experience with the equipment they use on the road, these conversations have helped him better understand the industry and the customers Verduyn serves. Being able to connect with drivers firsthand gives Owen a unique perspective that he brings into the content he creates.
With almost 5 years of experience in the marketing field, Owen has continued to build upon the skills and experience he developed at Conestoga College. In 2022 he was recognized as the co-op student of the year for the business program, an award that recognized his dedication, hard work and contributions through-out his co-op experience and schooling. He continues to bring that same drive and creativity to Verduyn Tarps.
